          Adoption Information

          Potential adopters can begin the process by completing our adoption application.  You'll find an application in Word and PDF Formats above left.  Applicants should call or email - humanelackawanna@frontiernet.net - us within 48 to check on the status of their application.  Processing time varies according to reference checks and surgery schedules.  We ask that you keep in mind that PA Law demands that all dogs and cats leaving the shelter must be spayed or neutered.


          Adoption costs

          Dogs up to $145, which includes the following:
          • Microchip
          • DA2ppv combination vaccine
          • Bordetella vaccine
          • One worming
          • Flea treatment with Frontline Plus or Revolution
          • Lackawanna County license
          • Spay or Neuter

          Cats are currently $60, kittens are $85 and include the following:
          • Microchip
          • FVRCP Vaccines
          • Leukemia Testing
          • Worming
          • Flea treatment with Frontline Plus or Revolution
          • Spay or Neuter
