Without You, There is No Us!
Please take a look through the photos below to see some amazing people in our community helping animals in our shelter!
We can’t thank you enough for your continued support of Griffin Pond Animal Shelter! Due to your active involvement in supporting our non profit 501(c)3 organization and tremendous generosity we have been able to provide care for thousands of animals, including those that are sick, elderly and injured, that are in our guardianship due to various reasons such as owner surrenders and cruelty case investigations each year!
Our shelter is not affiliated with The HSUS, the ASPCA or any other organization and so we are completely funded by private donations and monetary awards. We rely on the generosity of caring people and organizations through donations and fundraising.
On behalf of the Board of Directors, management, staff, volunteers and the animals at the Griffin Pond Animal Shelter, we extend to you our heartfelt appreciation for your support of our shelter and look forward to continuing our mission to increase adoptions and improve the lives of homeless and abused animals. We know that we alone cannot change the world, but if our efforts at Griffin Pond Animal Shelter inspire you to better understand the needs of these animals, and influence you to assist us in helping them, then together we can positively transform the future of homeless and abused animals in our community. With our work and your continued support, these animals are given a second chance.
Congratulations to Briar W., winner of HNB’s National Dog Day drawing! She has selected Griffin Pond Animal Shelter to receive the $180 prize!
Eynon, PA – In recognition of “National Dog Day”, The Honesdale National Bank combined people’s love of their pets and the power of Facebook to donate funds to a winner’s choice of the local animal shelters and agencies. In celebration of the bank’s 180th anniversary, HNB donated $180 to Griffin Pond Animal Shelter after a special drawing on “National Dog Day”.
To enter the drawing, Facebook users were asked to take a selfie with their dog on Friday, August 26, 2015 for “National Dog Day” and tag The Honesdale National Bank’s Facebook page. The winner could then choose which local animal shelter would receive the $180.
The winner, Briar Woodley, posted a photo of herself and her dog, Casey. Woodley was notified and she selected Griffin Pond Animal Shelter for the donation. Timing could not be better as the shelter just kicked off construction on a $3 million expansion project with a groundbreaking ceremony on Tuesday, August 23rd.
