Fostering is a great way to help an animal in need! Griffin Pond Animal Shelter needs volunteers to provide short-term in-home care for animals in need of special care. With pre-approved authorization from Griffin Pond Animal Shelter management, all veterinary care for foster animals is paid by the shelter. Fostering can last from a few weeks to several months.
Which animals are in need of foster care?
Foster parents help animals who are not quite ready to be made available for adoption for any number of reasons such as their age, size, health or if they may benefit from additional socialization. In some cases, animals come to us under protective custody and need a loving home while they await their court date.
