Dog Walking Program
Dog walking participants must be at least 18 YEARS of age or OLDER.
Dog walkers are needed and welcome between 12-4pm ANY DAY of the week EXCEPT TUESDAYS. We are closed to the public on Tuesday. Please bring your photo ID and wear appropriate shoes or sneakers.
PLEASE NOTE: Volunteer groups over six (6) individuals must schedule a group visit (date and time) in advance by calling 570-586-3700 x514.
The dog walking program is not part of the shelter’s community service/volunteer hours program. If you need community service or volunteer hours, please see the section below and complete a community service/volunteer request form.
We are grateful for each and every volunteer that donates their time and talents to the shelter. It’s your dedication and commitment that keeps our pets happy until they find their forever homes and allows us the opportunity to offer programs and events throughout the community raising adoption awareness & humane education.
Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age.
Under 18? You are welcome to volunteer with an accompanying parent or guardian.
COURT ORDERED volunteer hours MUST BE APPROVED by the Executive Director. Please have the following information available: reason for service and number of hours required.
