Pet adoptions and the services around it is a very important process, but sometimes can be a little daunting. We want to help make it as seamless as we can. That is why we want to help answer some common questions you may have. If you still have questions feel free to contact us and we will be sure to help as we can. 

How old do I have to be to volunteer?

You must be at least 18 or if younger than 18 accompanied by a parent or guardian.

How old do I have to be to walk dogs?

You must be at least 18 years old to handle dogs. Don't worry you can still come and play with our cats, we need cat enrichment too!

What do I do as a volunteer?

As a volunteer at Griffin Pond you can do a wide range of tasks depending on your interests and our needs. You may spend your volunteer hours doing anything from cleaning cat cages, dishes, laundry, dog walking.. to making phone calls, attending events, organizing, and more. Volunteers are appreciated very much and we love that the community takes the time to come to our shelter to give what they can be it donations or time, every little bit counts and the animals appreciate it too.
