Paws in the Park

Paws in the Park is a family friendly event providing humane education and adoption awareness in a fun, relaxed atmosphere along with a variety of craft vendors, local merchants, face painting, music, food, ice cream, and much more! We are always looking for volunteers to help us in our efforts to create a successful fundraising event. Griffin Pond Animal Shelter, in conjunction with VCA Animal Hospital of Dunmore, PA, will be hosting a low cost rabies vaccine and microchip clinic. The clinic will be open throughout the event or until supplies are exhausted. You will need to purchase an admission ticket to Paws in the Park to take part in the services provided by the clinic. Please note – all animals must be on a leash or in a carrier. 

Paws in the Park is available to the community for the low admission price of $5.00 per person. Children under the age of 5 are free. Donations are always welcome and appreciated. We will be accepting monetary donations along with items from our wish list throughout the event. Admission costs and donations received help to care for over 200 animals at the shelter on a daily basis. Pets are welcome at this event as long as they are able to be around other animals in a friendly manner and are leashed or in a carrier. We thank you for your cooperation.  

Don’t have a pet? No worries! Paws in the Park is not just for pet owners – ALL are welcome! While all pets are welcome and encouraged to attend (we especially love to visit with our shelter alumni), attendees do not have to have a pet to attend.
